Our Mission
As a chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Mingus Mountains Longbeards are dedicated to the preservation of the wild turkey, preservation of our hunting heritage and introducing youth to the outdoors.
Our small but dedicated team of volunteers devote their time and resources to fundraising and mission projects because we believe so strongly in this mission. Take a look at some of these projects and contact us today to help out in the future.

Marvin Robbins Memorial Youth Turkey Camp in 6A
Our chapter has been involved in the Marvin Robbins Memorial Youth Turkey Camp that takes place in Unit 6A for many years. The camp welcomes dozens of young hunters and their families each year to provide meals and a safe hunting experience.
Mentors are available to help those with less experience. Arizona Game and Fish Wildlife Managers give presentations on hunter safety and ethics. Experienced turkey hunters provide seminars on hunting tips, turkey biology, and much more.
Campers also go home with plenty of prizes thanks to our sponsors and donors, too!
